The Design Process

In an initial free consultation we get the feel for what you want from your garden, the time available to spend on it and what your realistic budget is.

A Full Site Survey is carried out, ensuring that we have a full picture of the garden we are working on. We mark every boundary, every existing feature, and every difference in height. There is much to be said from working from a blank canvas, but we never dismiss the value of a mature tree or existing good planting, particularly where it is mature — these are priceless and can always be worked into a new design.

The Draft Design —- give us a couple of weeks to get some initial rough designs down on paper - this time gives you the chance to think of other elements that could be incorporated and for adjustments to be made, if necessary.

The Final Design - all the hard work is done - we have a workable, practical design and are now at the point where we can transform that real plot, with all its constraints, into your vision and adapting that vision into a garden that actually does work for you.
